Pole Vaulters Head to Tiger Tuneup

THE FLATS – Three Georgia Tech women’s track and field pole vaulters head to Clemson, S.C. for the Tiger Tuneup on Friday morning.

The pole vault is scheduled for 11 a.m. and live results can be found here.

Anna Hightower, Ksenia Novikova and Sarah Zimmerman will represent the Yellow Jackets at the last chance meet in Clemson. It is the final competition for the Jackets before the 2017 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships in South Bend, Ind.

Hightower, a sophomore from Cartersville, Ga., recorded her season-best mark of 3.65 meters at her last outing at Clemson for the Bob Pollock Invitational.

Novikova posted a career-best mark of 3.99m in her last outing at the Music City Challenge in South Bend. She also posted two fourth-place finishes this season at Clemson in the Orange & Purple Classic and the Bob Pollock Invitational.

Zimmerman also had a season-best mark at Clemson at the Bob Pollock Invitational. She cleared a height of 3.50m in the pole vault.
