THE FLATS – Cameron O’Neal and Sheleah Harris have taken home ACC Performer of the Week awards, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday.
O’Neal, the ACC Men’s Co-Field Performer of the Week, is accustomed to winning ACC honors. He won the 2021 ACC Freshman of the Year Award. O’Neal was first-team All-ACC last season after finishing third in the long jump at the indoor conference championships. O’Neal jump at the Clemson Orange & Purple Elite (7.39m) is good for 16th nationally.
In her season debut, Harris took home the ACC Women’s Track Performer of the Week. Harris set career bests in the 60m (7.60) and 200m (25.14) at the meet on Saturday. Her time in the 60m was the fastest in the ACC over the weekend.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Friday for the first of two days at the Vanderbilt Commodore Challenge in Nashville, Tenn.
