#Overtime with Tadric Jackson

March 18, 2015

THE FLATS – After finishing his high school career with a state championship and being named all-class player of the year in Georgia, Tadric Jackson put together a solid freshman campaign in which he started the last six games of the season.

The 6-2 guard played 131 total minutes, averaging 9.8 points, and was Tech’s second-leading scorer over that stretch. He hit 22-for-69 from the floor (31.9 pct.) with 12 assists and four turnovers.

Jackson scored 16 points (6-for-15 FG, two 3s) against Boston College in the ACC Tournament, one point shy of his season high of 17 against Marquette (7-for-15) on Nov. 27 in the Orlando Classic. He played a career-high 34 minutes against North Carolina on March 3, scoring nine points and grabbing a season-best seven rebounds (3 assists, 1 turnover).

Jackson averaged 15 minutes and 5.4 points for the season, mostly off the bench (15.3 mpg, 4.2 ppg in ACC games). He had three double-digit games against ACC teams, including 12 on Feb. 28 at Clemson and 10 off the bench at Virginia Tech.
