WEYMOUTH, Mass. – Amanda Craddock dropped just two games en route to a 6-1, 6-1 singles victory as No. 7 Georgia Tech (10-4, 2-1 ACC) earned their second 7-0 victory in the last three days, blanking Boston College (4-7, 0-3 ACC) at the Weymouth Club Sunday afternoon in Weymouth, Mass.
Georgia Tech won all six singles matches in straight sets, including 86th-ranked Craddock’s victory over Sarah Svoboda at No. 6 singles. No. 7 Kristi Miller stopped Lana Krasnopolsky, 6-2, 6-1, and No. 97 Alison Silverio defeated Dasha Cherkasov, 6-1, 6-2 at the second singles spot.
Twenty-third ranked Kirsten Flower notched a 6-3, 6-3 win over Alina Sullivan at the No. 3 position, No. 109 Amanda McDowell blew past Lauren Cash, 6-4, 6-1, at the No. 4 spot and Tarryn Rudman downed Brittany Delaney, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 5 singles.
The Jackets also won all three doubles matches, led by Craddock and Silverio’s 8-2 victory over Cherkasov and Sullivan atop the lineup.
Rudman and Flower teamed together to defeat Cash and Delaney, 8-3, while Miller and McDowell finished off the sweep with an 8-4 win over Krasnopolsky and Gia Nafarrete.
The Jackets will finish of their five-straight road matches with a trip to South Florida next weekend before returning home to host Miami and Florida State at the end of the month.
