ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s third-ranked women’s tennis team will make their way back to Tallahassee for the second time this season to make up a match that was rained out in early March. The Yellow Jackets and Seminoles will square off Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Jackets and Seminoles were originally scheduled to play Friday, Mar. 9, but the match was postponed to this Wednesday due to rain.
Georgia Tech (13-4, 5-1 ACC) stands alone atop the ACC rankings entering the week, while the Seminoles (13-3, 3-3 ACC) have a .500 record in conference following a hard-fought 4-3 loss to Duke on Sunday.
The Yellow Jackets are just 7-16 against Florida State in the series, but have won each of the last four matches, and five of the last six, between the two teams.
Tech is coming off a pair of 7-0 wins over NC State and Wake Forest over the weekend and has four home matches remaining this season. The Yellow Jackets will host Virginia and Virginia Tech in a pair of ACC matches this weekend, with both contests being aired live on ACC Select (gatech.playonsports.tv).
