The third-ranked Georgia women’s tennis team defeated Georgia Tech, 6-1, Tuesday afternoon in Athens, Ga.
Sophomore Jaime Wong picked up the Yellow Jackets’ lone point on the day, defeating No. 64 Lori Grey, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.
Sophomore Mason Miller and freshman Fallon Koon defeated UGA’s Anne Nguyen and Christa Grey, 8-6, at No. 3 doubles.
But Georgia claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and won five of six singles matches on the day.
No. 39 Georgia Tech fell to 8-7 overall and plays at Virginia in Charlottesville on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
