No. 23 Georgia Tech Men's Tennis Heads to Texas to Face No. 19 Aggies

March 17, 2006

The No. 23 Georgia Tech men’s tennis team continues its stretch out of conference, traveling to the state of Texas to take on Texas A&M. The Yellow Jackets (6-4) will face the Aggies (6-4) Monday at 7 p.m. ET at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center in a match that will be played under lights.

Tech enters the match having dropped four straight matches, but all to opponents currently ranked in the top 20 of the Fila Rankings.

“Texas A&M is another quality opponent we are facing, who is coming off a good win over No. 3 Illinois,” said head coach Kenny Thorne. “Tim Cass has done a great job at that school and we look forward to getting out there during our spring break and playing them. It’s going to be a great environment playing at night and they have a great crowd at their matches, so that is something to look forward to. We have a good tough schedule, especially recently, and I really feel like our guys will be ready.”
