ATLANTA – The 17th-ranked Georgia Tech women’s tennis team was unable to rally late in the match and dropped a pair of three-set matches and the overall dual match with Clemson by a 4-3 score on Thursday afternoon at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jackets (13-7, 3-4 ACC) fell behind early in the day by dropping a pair of doubles matches to the Tigers (12-7, 4-1 ACC). Tech’s tandem of Mason Miller and Jaime Wong were the Jackets’ lone doubles winners of the day, defeating Anna Savitskaya and Anna Dolinska by an 8-3 score at No. 2. The Jackets’ team of Laura Ozolins and Catherine Gunn fell to Richele LeSaldo and Milena Stanoycheva at No. 3 by an 8-5 count, while Tech’s Mysti Morris and Sekita Grant were defeated by Clemson’s 26th-ranked duo of Laurence Jayet and Alix Lacelarie by an 8-6 score at No. 1.

In singles play, the match tightened up as the Jackets captured three matches to knot things at 3-3. Mason Miller got Tech going at No. 5 singles as she downed Ioana Paun in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
