Nicole Fegans Earns All-American Honors

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track & field competed at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday. Nicole Fegans was the lone competitor for the Yellow Jackets, competing in the women’s 3000m.

Fegans earned second team All-American honors after finishing 11th in the race.

The race started off strong for Fegans as she had the fastest split between 200 and 400m. She led the pack at the 800m and 1000m splits. Fegans was in the top five of the race through 2200m, as high as second at the 2000m and 2200m splits. Between the 2200m and 2400m mark Fegans would fall to 11th and would hold in that position for the remaining distance in the race.

The White and Gold start the outdoor season with the Yellow Jacket Invite from March 18-19 at Griffin Track. This is the first of two home meets for Tech during the outdoor season.
