ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Georgia Tech linebacker Quayshawn Nealy and wide receiver Darren Waller will play in the 2015 East-West Shrine Game, which will be played Saturday at Tropicana Field. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET on the NFL Network.
The game will also be broadcast on SiriusXM channel 88 as well as several radio stations throughout the country. Click here for a full list of Shrine Game Radio Network stations.
A second-team All-ACC selection, Nealy started all 14 games at linebacker and finished the season with 92 tackles. He also tallied 6.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, and a team-best three fumble recoveries. Nealy is 17th on Tech’s career list for most tackles by a linebacker with 289. He finished his career with four defensive touchdowns, eight interceptions and six fumble recoveries.
Waller appeared in 12 of Tech’s 14 games in 2014 and made eight starts. He caught 26 passes for 442 yards and six touchdowns. He capped off his career with a career-best 114 yards on five catches with a touchdown against Mississippi State. Waller finished with 971 career receiving yards on 51 catches.
Georgia Tech (11-3) concluded the 2014 season ranked in the top 10 of the final AP and coaches polls for the first time since 1990. The Jackets won 11 games for only the fifth time in school history, capping off their historic season with a 49-34 win over Mississippi State in the Capital One Orange Bowl.
