ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s tennis teams will both be competing tin the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, May 12, the first time in school history that both teams have advanced to the tournament in the same year.
The 27th-ranked Yellow Jacket men, making their fourth appearance in the last five years, travel to Atnens, Ga., for a first-round matchup with No. 38 Arizona at 9:00 a.m. on May 12. The second-ranked Georgia Bulldgs will host No. 58 Furman at 1:00 p.m. The winners of Saturday’s matches will square off at noon on Sunday, May 13.
The No. 54 Georgia Tech women’s tennis team is making its second-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament after advancing to the second round last year in its first-ever trip. The Yellow Jackets will play No. 30 UCLA at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on May 12 and the 11th-ranked Fresno State Bulldogs will host Cal State Northridge at 5:00 p.m. EDT. The winners of the first-round matches will play at 4:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday, May 13.
