Moss and Miller Named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week

ATLANTA – Shantia Moss and Jerome Miller were named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, December 4, 2006.

Moss, a junior from Tamarac, Fla., opened her indoor season by winning the women’s 60-meter hurdles at the Clemson Opener. Moss ran a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.29 seconds at the meet. She also ran the women’s 60-meter dash in a time of 7.76 seconds for 17th place.

Miller, a junior from Stafford, Va., won the men’s high jump at the Clemson Opener with a personal- and school-record jump of 7 feet, 2 ½ inches. His NCAA provisional qualifying mark broke his previous school-record of 7 feet, 1 ¾ inches, which he set at 2006 Kentucky Invitational. Miller also finished fourth in the men’s triple jump with a mark of 49 feet, 4 ¼ inches.
