Meet the 2013 GT Volleyball Freshmen - Lauren Pitz

Five newcomers join the Georgia Tech volleyball roster in 2013 and RamblinWreck.com is halfway through a series of interviews with the freshmen getting ready to start their first season as a Yellow Jacket.

Today, we focus on 6’2 middle blocker Lauren Pitz.  The Carmel, Ind. native was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain of the Carmel High School volleyball team and led her team to the school’s first ever state volleyball championship game in 2012, where the Greyhounds finished the season 37-2. She tallied 243 kills, 2.4 kills per set and 132 blocks, including 45 solo stuffs in her senior year. Meet Lauren Pitz.

Most people don’t know this about me, but I:
Used to play the harp. 

The App I use the most is:
Instagram.

I can’t image going a week without:
Using my phone.

The sport I’m the worst at is:
Soccer.

If I didn’t play volleyball, I’d play:
I’d be a swimmer.

If I were on a reality TV show, it’d be:
Survivor.

I can’t miss a TV episode of:
Psych.

I have to admit, I’m really good at:
Making milkshakes.

My game day superstition is:
Eating eggs for breakfast.

My career aspiration is:
To be a sports medicine physician.

I chose Georgia Tech because:
I love the volleyball coaches, players and the atmophere of Georgia Tech!
