McKee, Snoddy and Unterberger earn USTFCCCA All-America Honors

THE FLATS – Julienne McKee, Broderick Snoddy and Aaron Unterberger of the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field team earned All-America honors at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA)announced  Monday.

McKee placed eighth in the triple jump to earn her first career first-team All-America nod. She jumped a season-best and landed one of the top-five distances in Georgia Tech program history with a leap of 13.05m (42’9.75”). McKee earned USTFCCCA second-team All-America honors in the triple and long jumps at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Snoddy finished 13th in the 60-meter preliminaries with a time of 6.75 to earn second-team All-America honors in his first season on the track and field team.

Unterberger earned second-team All-America honors, after taking 12th in the pole vault with a height of 5.40m (17’8.5”). The Snellville, Ga. native, qualified for the event with a school-record height of 5.44m (17’10.25″) at the Last Chance Invite.

Tech kicks off its outdoor season this weekend March 15-16 in Athens, Ga. at the Georgia Relays.
