The accolades continue to roll in for Georgia Tech women’s basketball senior Tyaunna Marshall, who was named the ACC Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Marshall had a career week this past week for the Yellow Jackets after breaking the all-time points record to become Georgia Tech’s all-time leading scorer. Marshall, who was also named ESPNW’s National Player of the Week, averaged 26.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game with a .500 field goal percentage last week as Georgia Tech picked up three ACC wins, including a victory against No. 13/11 North Carolina.

This is the fourth ACC Player of the Week award for Marshall and the first this season.

Against the Tar Heels, Marshall scored 32 points to break Kisha Ford’s all-time program record of 1,955 career points. Marshall made two free throws against the Tar Heels with 4.3 seconds left in the game to secure the Jackets’ first win against a ranked opponent since 2012 and give her 1,956 career points, breaking Ford’s record. She followed up her record-breaking performance by scoring 24 points at Miami and setting a career-high in steals with seven. Marshall led the Jackets in every category – points (24), rebounds (9), assists (3) and steals (7) – against the Hurricanes. Marshall’s 1,980 career points has her just 20 points shy of becoming the first Yellow Jacket to reach 2,000 career points and has her in 24th place on the ACC career points list. She also scored 23 points at Pittsburgh at the beginning of the week.

Marshall leads the Jackets in scoring, rebounding and steals, averaging 20.0 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 2.7 steals per game. She ranks second in the ACC in scoring, 10th in rebounding and second in steals, making her just one of two ACC players to rank in the top-10 in all three categories. Marshall also ranks in the top-10 in the Georgia Tech record book in points, rebounds and steals. Her 1,980 points has her in first while she is in eighth with 793 rebounds. Marshall has 261 steals, which puts her in fifth on the Yellow Jackets’ all-time steals list.

The Yellow Jackets host Virginia on Thursday at 7 p.m. at McCamish Pavilion for its Play for Kay game. All fans that wear pink will receive $2 admission to the game.
