Lynnette Moster Named ACC Volleyball Player of the Week

Sophomore all-America candidate Lynnette Moster was named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week after leading No. 20 Georgia Tech to two conference wins over Wake Forest and Duke.

The Liberty, Ind., native pounded out 21 kills in 33 attempts with only one error, for a .606 hitting percentage against the Demon Deacons. She also contributed 17 digs in the match. In the Yellow Jacket’s match versus Duke, the outside hitter recorded her second double-double for the week with 24 kills and ten digs. She hit 327 in the match versus the Blue Devils.

This is the third time this season that Moster earned ACC Player of the Week honors.

Georgia Tech improved its record to 28-5 overall and 13-3 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets are the No. 2 seed in this weekend’s 2002 Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Championship and face Wake Forest on Friday at 5 p.m. in O’Keefe Gymnasium.
