Linn Leads Tech on Day One of Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA – Freshman Elena Linn led the women’s track and field team with an eighth-place finish in the 3,000-SC, clocking a time of 11:23.20 on Friday night at the Georgia Tech Invitational at the Georgia C. Griffin Track.

Junior Brandy Depland tallied a mark of 18 feet, 11 and 3/4 inches, to finish in seventh place in the women’s long jump.

Rookie Maria Hampton clocked a season-best time of 17:59.60 in the women’s 5,000 meters to finish in 10th place for the Yellow Jackets.

The Georgia Tech Invitational will conclude on Saturday at the Griffin Track.
