ATLANTA – Nisha Kurian placed 25th with a time of 22:08.8 to lead the Georgia Tech women’s cross country team to a fifth-place finish at the 2006 NCAA South Regional.
Kurian, a junior from Canton, Ohio, earned a spot on the All-South Region team for the first time in her career. She is the first Yellow Jacket to be named to the team since Katie Griffin finished 22nd at the South Regional in 2003.
To be considered for the All Region team, athletes must finish in the top 25 of their region and meet NCAA Division I Cross Country Coaches Association requirements.
