May 21, 2005

ATLANTA – Freshman Kristi Miller, one of 16 seeded players in the upcoming NCAA Singles Championships, will open the individual portion of the postseason tournament by facing Vanderbilt’s Amanda Fish Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

Miller, ranked 12th in the nation in the latest poll, has yet to face Fish in her career, but has played one match against a Commodore this season, when she met 29th-ranked Audra Falk in late February.

Miller will begin the doubles portion of the individual tournament Tuesday with teammate Alison Silverio. The duo will face Florida’s top doubles team of Jennifer Magley and Zerene Reyes, with the time to be announced either late Sunday or early Monday.
