Jordan and Krimm Named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week

ATLANTA – Alphonso Jordan and Hannah Krimm were named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, January 22, 2007.

Jordan, a freshman from Charlotte, N.C., had three top-10 finishes at the Clemson Invitational this weekend. He placed fourth overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a team season-best time of 8.33 seconds. In the triple jump, Jordan placed third with a mark of 49 feet, 7 ¾ inches and finished eighth in the long jump with a distance of 22 feet, 1 ¾ inches. He scored 11.5 total points for Tech to help the men finish fifth overall.

Krimm, a freshman from Upper Arlington, Ohio, finished first on the one-meter board with a NCAA Zone diving qualifying mark of 285.25 at the swimming and diving teams tri-meet with Atlantic Coast Conference foes Maryland and Virginia Tech. She also finished 2nd on the three-meter board (300.25 NCAA Zone mark).
