GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Georgia Tech redshirt senior second baseman Jen Yee has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday. The North Delta, British Columbia native led the No. 10/9 Yellow Jackets to a 4-1 week against tough competition at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic in Las Vegas.
Yee picked up two more multi-hit games in going 2-for-2 at the plate with one home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 10-9 triumph over Brigham Young, and was 3-for-3 with a home run, double, one RBI, and four runs in Georgia Tech’s 11-2 win against Long Beach State. She was 8-for-15 with two round-trippers, five RBI, and seven runs scored over the week and is currently riding a nine-game hitting streak and batting .625 on the season.
North Carolina pitcher/first baseman Danielle Spaulding was the ACC Pitcher of the Week.
