Jackts Finish Out Recruiting Class with Signing of Pernet

ATLANTA — (June 1) Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis program rounded out its recruiting class for the 1999-00 season with the signing of Charlotte Pernet (Dijon, France) to a national letter of intent during the spring signing period.

Pernet, ranked 15th in the 17-and-under division in France, completes a recruiting class that includes Mysti Morris (Cartersville, Ga.) and Jamie Wong (Delray Beach, Fla.).

“Charlotte is a really solid player who should help us in our lineup next year,” said Tech head coach Sue Hutchinson. “Charlotte is the kind of person we want at Tech, because not only is she a good player, but she is also an excellent student.”

Pernet, Morris and Wong will join five returning letterwinners from the Yellow Jackets’ 1998-99 squad that finished the season 12-10 overall and ranked 43rd nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
