THE FLATS — Georgia Tech men’s tennis (6-5) will face ACC foe, Clemson on Sunday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m at the Hoak Sloan Tennis Center.
The Jackets enter the match, 1-1 in ACC play after a thrilling 4-3 defeat over No. 21 Florida State.
The Tigers, meanwhile are 0-2 in conference play, 7-6 overall, coming off a win over SC State, 5-0.
In Friday night’s battle, the Jackets and Seminoles had split the first two doubles matches, leaving the final match to decide the winner of the doubles point.
Joseph Gandolfo/Chris Yun were able take down Lucas Poullian/Juan Martin Jalif, 7-6 (7-4) to win the doubles point for the Jackets.
In singles, No. 36 Carlos Divar came in big for the Jackets topping No. 63 Poullain, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 to clinch the match.
