Jackets Travel to Wake Forest, Louisville

THE FLATS – No. 32 Georgia Tech hits the road for a pair of weekend ACC tilts. The Jackets open at No. 19 Wake Forest on Friday before visiting Louisville on Sunday.

THE SCENE: Georgia Tech is coming off home upset over then-No. 27 Syracuse last Sunday, 4-3. The Jackets clinched the match at 4-0 behind the doubles point and three singles victories. Junior Kenya Jones, who went undefeated last weekend, picked up ACC Co-Player of the Week honors. With the win, Tech stands at 5-5 overall this season and 2-1 in league play.

Wake Forest brings an 11-2 overall ledger into the weekend to go along with a 3-0 ACC mark. The Demon Deacons’ only losses this season came against then-No. 14 South Carolina and then-No. 13 Oklahoma State. WFU has opened league play with wins over Clemson, Boston College and Virginia.

Louisville owns a 10-5 ledger and 2-3 conference mark on the young season. The Cardinals, currently on a two-match skid, most recently fell at No. 1 North Carolina, 4-0. They have ACC wins over Pitt and Clemson and travel to Notre Dame Friday before hosting Tech on Sunday at 10 a.m.
