Jackets Ready to Host Georgia Tech Invitational

THE FLATS –  Men’s tennis finishes out its fall slate hosting the Georgia Tech Invitational at the Byers Tennis Complex, Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov.4.

Six teams will participate in the tournament, as Tech welcomes Virginia Tech, Georgia State, Georgia, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and South Alabama.

Five of the six teams competing this weekend, advanced to the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Three of those squads, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and South Alabama made it to the second round.

Tech looks to continue a successful fall campaign. In the Jackets’ last outing at the ITA Southeast Regionals, freshman Cole Gromley picked up five-straight wins making it to the round of 16 in the main singles draw.

Andrew Li also had a great performance for the White and Gold, advancing to the round of 16 and grabbing two victories in the main singles draw.

Admission is free for the three-day event and parking is available in the Family Housing Lot on 10th street.
