THE FLATS — The Georgia Tech track and field team will split the team up this week as they will participate in both the Penn Relays and the Torrin Lawerence Invitational.

Last weekend, the Jackets hosted the Georgia Tech Invitational and saw seven first-place finishes from a number of their student-athletes, including Maurice Simpson in the men’s 100-meter event and Olivia Moore in the women’s long jump.

Thursday thru Saturday select Georgia Tech student-athletes will participate in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field, while other Georgia Tech student-athletes will be in Athens competing in the Torrin Lawerence Invitational at the Spec Towns Track.

Action at the Penn Relays will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday with the women’s 400-meter hurdles, while the Torrin Lawerence Invite will begin on Friday at 4:00 p.m. with the women’s hammer throw.
