ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s Greg McCormick was named to the 2005 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III Men’s Track and Field/Cross Country Team, announced on Friday.
McCormick, a senior from Middletown, Md, is a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree and broke the indoor school record in the heptathlon with a score of 4,869 to finish fourth at the indoor ACC Championships. He went on to post a fifth-place finish at the outdoor ACC meet in the decathlon with an outdoor season-best score of 6,452.
The Yellow Jackets will compete at the outdoor NCAA Championships, June 8-11, in Sacramento, Calif.
