Jackets Host 2017 Outdoor Track and Field ACC Championships

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track and field welcomes the 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships to The Flats this weekend, hosting the event for the fourth time in school history. The championships run Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14.

Parking for fans is available free of charge in the Family Housing deck, located on 10th street across from the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. Admission to the meet is free.

This season, the Yellow Jackets have combined to post 12 first-place finishes at the George C. Griffin Track. This is the third competition this season the Jackets have hosted at the Griffin Track. Tech opened the outdoor season on The Flats with the Yellow Jacket Invitational and hosted the Georgia Tech Invitational in April.

The Jackets last hosted the ACC Championships in 2008. The event was held on The Flats in 1987 and 1997.
