THE FLATS – Seventh-seeded Georgia Tech softball heads to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on Virginia in the opening round of the 2019 ACC Softball Championship on Wednesday, May 8 for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch. The Jackets make their second-straight postseason appearance under head coach Aileen Morales.
Against the opponent:
The Jackets met with the 10th-seeded Cavaliers earlier this season on The Flats, taking two out of three to win the series. Tech leads the all-time series 48-42. The Jackets are 9-8 against Virginia in the ACC tournament, taking the last postseason meeting between the programs 6-4 in 2012 on Tech’s way to winning the ACC title.
