ATHENS, Ga. – David North dropped just two games to East Tennessee State’s Enrique Olivares to record a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the consolation bracket, leading the Georgia Tech men’s tennis team on day three on the Southern Intercollegiate Championships. The tournament is being held at the Dan Magill Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Georgia Sept. 8-11
North then teamed with Eric Molnar in the doubles bracket, but the seventh-seeded duo couldn’t overcome South Alabama’s duo of Dias Doskarayev and R. J. Nagel, falling 8-4 in the top doubles division.
The Yellow Jacket duo of Jordan Delass and Luke Rassow-Kantor also competed on the second day of doubles play, recording an 8-4 victory over the College of Charleston’s Perry Allen and Justin Malina before falling 9-7 to Alex Ahigran and Olivares from ETSU to end the afternoon.
