Jackets Conclude Competition at Last Chance Meet

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Georgia Tech’s Andriane Lapsley, Dana Rogers, Shantia Moss, Montrell Person and James Lemons II posted top marks at the Notre Dame NCAA Track & Field Last Chance Meet on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets will await NCAA invitations scheduled for next week.

Lapsley, a native of San Antonio, Texas, posted a lifetime-best time of 7.39 in the 60-meter dash to clock a NCAA Provisional time. Rogers finished first in the 60-meter high hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.21 to log a NCAA qualifying mark.

Person ran a season-best time of 7.77 in the men’s 60m hurdles to tally a NCAA Provisional mark. Lemons posted a personal-best leap of 49’8.50″ in the men’s triple jump, while Moss ran a NCAA Provisional time of 8.28 in the women’s 60m hurdles to lead the Jackets.

Junior Brandy Depland finished third in the women’s triple jump with a NCAA mark of 42’4″. Sophomore Fatmata Fofanah logged a time of 8.37 in the 60m hurdles to clock a NCAA Provisional time.

At the Iowa State Last Chance Meet, sophomore Ashlee Kidd ran a season-best time of 53.35 to register a NCAA Provisional time.

The Indoor NCAA Championships will be held in Fayetteville, Ark., on March 11-12.
