Incoming Tech Volleyball Recruits Ranked No. 12 by Volleyball Magazine

April 12, 2002

Head volleyball coach Bond Shymansky and his staff have signed one of the nation’s top recruiting classes, according to Volleyball Magazine. Incoming freshmen Lindsey Laband, Blair Moon and Jennifer Randall comprise the No. 12 recruiting class according to the national publication.

“It’s great for our incoming athletes to receive national recognition from Volleyball Magazine,” said Shymansky. “They have worked hard and have earned that respect from other coaches and influential people in the world of volleyball. We are excited about them joining our team next year and being a part of our program.”

Arizona topped the list, followed by Penn State and Nebraska. Georgia Tech was the only school from the Atlantic Coast Conference to make the top 12.

In addition to the three signees, the Yellow Jackets return four starters from a team which fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Louisville. Tech opens its season in the George Mason Tournament against Northern Iowa on August 30.
