Hourigan, Woodard Advance in Doubles Main Draw

THE FLATS – Sophomore Paige Hourigan and senior Kendal Woodard of the Georgia Tech women’s tennis team advanced with a victory in the doubles main draw at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships on Thursday.

Hourigan and Woodard, the number six seed in the main draw, defeated Blair Shankle and Kiah Generette of Baylor, 8-5, in second round. The duo will now face the number two seed of the draw, California’s Maegan Manasse and Denise Starr, at 1 p.m. ET on Friday in the quarterfinals. Manasse and Starr check in at number three in the ITA preseason doubles rankings while Woodard and Hourigan were ranked at number seven.
