Hinsdale Named ACC Indoor Men's Coach of the Year

March 7, 2008

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech men’s track & field head coach Grover Hinsdale was named the 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Men’s Coach of the Year, as determined by a vote of the league’s 12 head coaches.

Hinsdale, a 2002 Indoor Coach of the Year honoree, led the men’s team to its best finish at the ACC indoor meet since finishing second in 1988. He joined former head coach, Buddy Fowlkes, as the only other men’s coach to be named ACC Coach of the Year twice.

The Jackets are currently competing at both the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. and the Virginia Tech Last Chance meet in the Blacksburg, Va.
