Hern Leads Jackets on Day One of USA Outdoor Junior Track and Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Freshman Kimery Hern posted a mark of 169 feet, 6 inches, to finish third in the hammer throw to lead the Georgia Tech women’s track and field team at the USA Outdoor Junior National Championships on Wednesday night.

Freshman Alana Clooten tallied a fourth-place finish for the Yellow Jackets in the hammer throw, posting a mark of 168 feet, 6 inches.

The meet will continue on Thursday as Juan Cave, Brandy Depland, Ashlee Kidd and Andriane Lapsley will all be in action for the Jackets.
