THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving will have two representatives in this year’s U.S. Winter National Swimming Championships as Tim Slanschek and Clay Hering will compete in Greensboro, N.C. on Nov. 30-Dec. 1 in Greensboro, N.C.
The four-day event will be held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center – home of the ACC Championships – with the Yellow Jackets competing on Friday and Saturday. Winter Nationals will be held in long course for the second time (prev. 2015 in Federal Way, Wash.).
Slanschek will be first in the pool, battling it out in the 100 fly on Friday, Nov. 30, while Slanschek and Hering will both enter into the 200 fly on Saturday, Dec. 1.
The 2018 Winter Nationals will be streamed live on USASwimming.org and telecast on the Olympic Channel. Per usual, prelims will be streamed on USA Swimming’s homepage while the evening sessions will be split between USA Swimming and the Olympic Channel (B finals)/NBCSports.com (A finals).
