THE FLATS – As part of 100 improvements to the football fan experience that Georgia Tech athletics is implementing for the 2026 season, Helluva Block Party, Tech football’s highly acclaimed pregame fan experience, will move to the north end of Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field in 2026.
With the move, Yellow Jacket Alley, Georgia Tech football’s pregame entrance into Bobby Dodd Stadium, will return to its traditional and popular location on the north end of the facility. Construction of the soon-to-be-completed Thomas A. Fanning Student-Athlete Performance Center was the impetus for Helluva Block Party and Yellow Jacket Alley to be held on North Avenue (just south of Bobby Dodd Stadium) for the last three seasons.
Helluva Block Party will continue to feature pregame concerts, a wide variety of food and beverage vendors and activities for the whole family at its new location on the north end of the stadium.
Tech athletics has partnered with Georgia Tech’s H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Scheller College of Business to help identify and implement 100 improvements to the gameday experience and atmosphere. A full list of the 100 improvements, including an exact footprint and timeline for HBP activities and Yellow Jacket Alley, will be announced in the coming months.
Georgia Tech is coming off a historic 2025 season that concluded with a 9-4 overall record (tied for the 10th-most victories in Tech’s 133-season football history) and No. 24 final national ranking. The Jackets rose to as high as No. 7 in the national rankings in ‘25 and were ranked in the final 14 national polls of the season, which is their longest streak since Tech was ranked in all 16 polls in 1999.
Georgia Tech also went 6-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play in ‘25, which was good for a tie for second place in the 17-team conference. The Yellow Jackets are the only ACC team that has finished in the top four of the conference standings each of the last three seasons.
The Jackets’ 2026 roster features five returning all-ACC performers from last year’s 9-4 squad (PK Aidan Birr, OL Malachi Carney, LB Kyle Efford, RB Malachi Hosley and OL Ethan Mackenny) and 19 highly touted incoming transfers, headlined by RB Justice Haynes and QB Alberto Mendoza.
