THE FLATS – Demarco Cox enrolled at Georgia Tech for the fall semester after completing requirements for his bachelor’s degree at Ole Miss in the summer of 2014. He will be immediately eligible to play for Tech in 2014-15 as a fifth-year graduate transfer, and is studying building construction and facility management.
Cox averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds over his Ole Miss career. He played all 33 games and started 16 last year for the Rebels, and had the best game of his career against the Yellow Jackets in the Barclays Center Classic, establishing career highs for both points (15) and rebounds (13) in the 77-67 Ole Miss win.
Cox will wear No. 4 at Tech, as he did for his last three years at Ole Miss. He wore No. 42 as a freshman.
