THE FLATS – A three-star player ranked as high as No. 81 nationally before he enrolled at Georgia Tech, Cole Fiegel went 20-14 as a freshman, tying for the team lead in singles wins despite having to play higher in the lineup due to injuries to other players.
Fiegel is a strong, athletic, left-handed player who established himself in the Tech lineup as a freshman. Last summer, he won the singles title as the No. 6 seed at an ITA Summer Circuit event in Tallahassee, Fla., never losing a set until the finals, where he defeated the No. 2 seed.
