THE FLATS – A native of Washington, D.C., freshman Christian Matthews joins the Yellow Jackets from the National Christian Academy, the same school as teammate Sylvester Ogbonda.
Matthews was the National Christian Academy’s all-time leading scorer, averaging 22.5 points a game in his junior campaign.
The forward was described by the Washington Post as being, “blessed with soft touch and plenty of range.”
Matthews will wear No. 23 on his jersey for the Jackets
