THE FLATS – Once ranked as high as 24th nationally as a junior, Casey Kay transferred from Georgia where he enjoyed success in the fall of 2012 but saw little action in the spring of 2013.
Kay established himself as a middle-of-the-order singles player for the Yellow Jackets before a debilitating hip injury forced him to the sidelines. He underwent surgery to correct the condition and is expected back on the court this spring.
Kay is part of a family of tennis players. His younger brother, Michael, is currently a freshman on the Tech team, while his sister, Whitney, is on the team at North Carolina. His father, Fred, was a varsity swimmer at Kansas.
