Gvelesiani and Rajevac Fall in Finals of Crimson Tide Invitational

Georgia Tech’s George Gvelesiani and Marko Rajevac both fell in their respective draws in the final day of competition at the Crimson Tide Men’s Tennis Fall Invitational in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Gvelesiani lost in straight sets to Stephen Ward of William and Mary, 6-1, 6-4 in the finals of the B Singles consolation draw while Rajevac was defeated by Eric Riley of Virginia in the finals of the exhibition One on One doubles, 9-8 (9).

In doubles action, Jordan Delass and Gvelesiani fell in the semifinals of the B Doubles draw to Marko Dvorak and Jan Zelezny from Colorado, 8-5.

Due to rain which occurred on Friday, other consolation matches which were originally scheduled were unable to be completed.

The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team will return to action next weekend at the Georgia Fall Tournament Sept. 23-25 in Athens, Ga.
