THE FLATS – Georgia Tech has launched a new social-centric mobile application that enhances the already dynamic gameday experience on the school’s Midtown Atlanta campus.
Georgia Tech Athletics joined forces with IMG and SportsLabs to develop the Georgia Tech Gameday app to keep Yellow Jackets fans connected to the action while on campus or watching from home. The Georgia Tech Gameday App will replace the current official app for Georgia Tech Athletics.
“The Georgia Tech Gameday app provides access to exclusive content, gameday information and more right on fans’ mobile devices. It’s a one-stop-shop for all things Georgia Tech,” said Rick Thorpe, Associate Athletics Director for Sales & Fan Experience.
“We are pleased to partner with SportsLabs in bringing Georgia Tech fans a one-of-a-kind gameday companion app that we hope will further enhance the passion and excitement of gameday this Fall,” said Chad Cleveland, AVP: Digital Content and Strategic Partnerships at IMG College.
The Georgia Tech Gameday App is packed with robust social, on-campus and stat-driven features that enhance the gameday experience by delivering:
- Free live game audio;
- Real-time Instagram and Twitter feeds from the team and fans;
- The official game-day guide with key times, events and need-to-know information including stadium maps and parking to plan the day;
- Live Conference and Top 25 scores, real-time stats;
- Opt-in alerts for weather updates, pre-game events, play-by-play information and more.
An integral part of the new Gameday App is the Buzz Memories program that allows fans to purchase exclusive Gameday experiences. From leading the team down Yellow Jacket Alley to high-fiving the players as they follow the Ramblin’ Wreck on to Grant Field, Buzz Memories will provide fans with unprecedented access to numerous experiences. 2014 Georgia Tech Football season ticket holders will be given free Buzz Memories credits they can redeem for certain experiences.
