@GT_WTEN: Renaud Earns ACC Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech sophomore tennis player Johnnise Renaud has been named ACC Co-Female Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Renaud received the award after earning 6-1 victories over No. 25 Clemson and Pittsburgh. A sophomore from North Miami, Fla., Renaud defeated both No. 52 Ayan Broomfield of Clemson (6-4, 6-3) and No. 85 Audrey Ann Blakely from Pitt (6-0, 6-1) in straight sets.

In doubles, Renaud and teammate Rasheeda McAdoo defeated Clemson’s Tristen Dewar and Ally Miller-Krasilnikov 6-3, and Pitt’s Lolade Ogungbesan and Callie Frey 6-1.

The Jackets will be on the road this week, as they face Virginia Tech on April 1 and Virginia on April 3.
