THE FLATS — The Georgia Tech track and field team is ready to compete in the two-day Duke Twilight in Durham, N.C. for its last meet before the ACC Outdoor Championships set for May 14-16 in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Duke Twilight begins Wednesday and runs until Thursday evening. Thirty-three Yellow Jackets are scheduled to compete in 17 events, beginning Wednesday at 5 p.m. with the women’s long jump. Saturday’s action continues for Georgia Tech at 6 p.m. with the women’s high jump.

The Jackets last competed April 23-25 at the Penn Relays where the men’s 4×800 meter relay team won the event, and the women’s team set a school record and won the college division.

 and  won the 4×800-meter relay Championship of America Invitational. The quartet ran a season-best time of 7:18.84 to cross the line first.

The women’s 4×800-meter relay team of  and  broke their own school record they set earlier this season. The team crossed the line first in the college division in a time of 8:49.20 to beat their previous record of 8:51.46 set at the Florida Relays.
