THE FLATS — The Georgia Tech track and field team is ready to make the short trip to Athens, Ga. for the Spec Towns Invite Friday and Saturday. All of the men’s events begin Friday at 12 p.m. and on Saturday the women will compete beginning at 12 p.m.

Action begins at 12 p.m. on both days with the hammer throw, and wrap up at 2:55 p.m. with the 4x400m relays.

The Jackets had an outstanding weekend at the Florida Relays and Auburn Tiger Track Classic. In Gainesville, the women’s 4x800m relay team broke the school record and the men’s team won the event for the third-straight year.
