@GT_TrackNField Completes Day One at Two Meets

Tiger Track Classic Results  | Florida Relays Friday Results 

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Georgia Tech track and field team completed a successful day Friday at two meets, the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. and Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala.

Florida
Brandon Lasater placed fourth in the men’s 800 meters with a time of 1:47.38 out of 61 competitors and Andres Littig placed 22nd with a personal-best time of 1:49.74.  

Jeremy Greenwald placed third of 36 competitors in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:45.55. Teammates Chris Burnett took 10th (3:49.47) and Zane Coburn took 12th (3:50.33). Morgan Jackson took ninth out of 42 runners in the women’s 1,500 meters with a time of 4:26.36.

Courtney Naser placed 24th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a season-best time of 11:18.35. Hailey Gollnick followed in 19th place in a time of 11:19.43.

In the 5,000 meters, Allison Brackin crossed the line first for Georgia Tech in 13th place in a time of 17:14.64 and Laura Nelson followed in 17th place (17:24.86).

For the men’s 5,000 meters, Patrick Fleming placed ninth in a time of 14:32.69 and Nahom Solomon placed 15th (14:40.11).

In the hurdles, Ama Larbi took 17th in the women’s 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.64.

Action continues Saturday at the Florida Relays at 10 a.m.

Auburn                              
The Javelin throw kicked off the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn Ala., as Ashleigh Uhl placed 19th with a throw of 28.72m (94-03) and Julia Frederick took 22nd with a distance of 26.83m (88-00).

Also in the field events, Preston Smith placed 12th with a jump of 14.39m (47-02.50) and Ryan Thomas took 14th (14.00m; 45-11.25).

Action continues in Auburn on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT with the women’s pole vault.
