Dec. 14, 2005

Georgia Tech volleyball standout Lindsey Laband (Monument, Colo.) was named to American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American Honorable Mention Team, which was released Wednesday.

Laband, an honorable-mention selection in 2004, finished the season with 1,358 assists, averaging 12.12 per game. A two-time second-team all-ACC selection, Laband ended her career with 3.130 assists, which ranks fourth on the Georgia Tech career assist list.

Laband becomes the seventh player from Georgia Tech to earn All-American honors and is just the second player in school history to earn All-American accolades on more than one occasion.
