Georgia Tech Women's Basketball Preseason Diary -- Nov. 9

Nov. 10, 2005

by Lauren Sauer

After an exciting scrimmage Sunday, a great practice Monday afternoon, and a very enjoyed day off Tuesday, we got back into the swing of things today. The main perk of being a fifth year senior is being enrolled in only one class that meets twice a week, taught by a very handsome Professor Byars. Tuesday was one of my class days so I got up around 8, made a cup of coffee, and made my way to Tech square. Unfortunately, my Professor had a freak running accident and we were let out as soon as roll was called. Not having to be ready for practice until 3pm, I had the entire morning and afternoon to spend as I pleased. I lucked out with the opportunity to do some treatment with my favorite basketball trainer, Carla, in the training room and I ate lunch with my favorite PIP (basketball mentor), Tandy, in the AA.

Today, we got to practice at the Georgia Dome to get ready for our exhibition game tommorrow night. Life doesn’t get better than going to college in Atlanta and having the opportunity to compete for Tech on a team with 15 other fantastic girls. I am very excited to see what this team will accomplish and I look forward to working hard and making it happen!

Yeeeeeeeah! (you know you all wanted me to say it)

*This is one of several “entries” this season describing the team’s events leading up to the first game of the season. Keep coming back to ramblinwreck.com to see what the Yellow Jackets are up to this fall!
