TECH CONCLUDES HOME SLATE WITH SENIOR DAY MATCH-UP VERSUS DUKE
Georgia Tech is home for the final time in 2012 on Saturday to host Duke and the Yellow Jackets are a win away from bowl eligibility and sole possession of first place in the ACC Coastal Division.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on Senior Day at Bobby Dodd Stadium in a nationally-televised game on ESPNU.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a record-setting offensive performance in a 68-50 win at North Carolina, which set a combined scoring record in the ACC and marked a Tech record for points in an ACC game.

Tech honors its 12 seniors in a pregame ceremony Saturday on Grant Field, including captains QB Tevin Washington, OG Omoregie Uzzi and DL Izaan Cross.

QUICK OUTS
• The Yellow Jackets have rushed for more yards than any FBS team since 2008 and own the nation’s fourth-leading rushing attack this season at 324.4 yards/game.
• The UNC win ensured Tech an 18th-straight non-losing season in conference play — the FBS’s longest active streak.
• A win Saturday would make the Jackets’ bowl-eligible for the 16th-consecutive year — the nation’s fourth-longest streak.
• Senior QB Tevin Washington’s 17 rushing TDs this season is the second-most nationally among quarterbacks and he’s third in the ACC in scoring at 10.2 points/game.
• With 35 career rushing TDs, Washington has tied former Jacket Joshua Nesbitt (2007-10) for the Tech and ACC all-time records for rushing TDs by a QB.
• Sophomore return specialist Jamal Golden is second in the ACC and 12th nationally in kick return average (29.6 avg). He totalled 230 KO return yards at UNC, including a 100-yard return for TD — his second KO return TD this season.
• Senior AB Orwin Smith’s career average of 9.6 yards per carry is the highest by any active FBS player with 100+ carries.
• Tech’s defense has recorded at least one interception in nine consecutive games. Nine players share the team’s 11 picks (second-most in ACC), led by Jemea Thomas’ three.
• Sophomores Jamal Golden (Specialist) and Quayshawn Nealy (Linebacker) earned ACC weekly honors this week.

TECH-DUKE SERIES NOTES
• Georgia Tech leads the all-time series, 48-30-1.
• The Jackets have won the last eight and 16 of the last 17.
• Tech holds a 27-12-1 series advantage in games played in Atlanta.
• The Jackets have won the last eight meetings at Bobby Dodd Stadium, with Duke’s last win in Atlanta coming in 1994.
• The winner of the Tech-Duke game has scored at least 30 points in each of the last three meetings and in six of the last seven meetings.
• Georgia Tech has played Duke more often (79 previous meetings) than any other ACC opponent.
• The two teams first met on the gridiron in 1933 and have met every season since.
• Tech is 133-68-4 all-time against teams from North Carolina.
• Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson is 8-1 all-time against Duke, including a 4-1 record while at Navy and a 4-0 mark at Tech.
